Our Training Philosophy

We train for real life. A dog that comes when called... that sits quietly by your side when guests visit... that walks nicely on a leash even past other dogs... that won't chew your chair, your shoes, or your children.

We don't use choke chains, pinch collars, head halters, or other devices. We do teach good timing and technique because training the owner is just as important as training the dog. That way, the dog not only knows commands, he is also willing to comply.

Our methods are based on sound scientific principles of behavior and stress positive reinforcement. Training should be enjoyable for both humans and canines!

Raising Rover - It may be your first puppy. Maybe it's been a while and things have changed since your last one. The first 6 months set the stage for a puppy's personality and behavior development. We'll get you started on the right track so the your puppy can grow up to be the most enjoyable companion you'll ever have.

Raising Rover is a one-on-one, one hour private session where we'll discuss puppy issues like crate training, chewing, mouthing and the "puppy crazies."

Housebreaking is a priority for most new owners and we'll lay out a step-by-step plan to make the process go smoothly and quickly. We'll discuss the proper way to socialize your puppy.
